Pick a time, leave a name and an email, and the booking exists. No cart, no checkout, no account to create.
Convert now, sell more at the counter
Take the booking with the least possible friction, then add it to the cart in store alongside products. Order value goes up, and the sale is attributed back to the booking that started it.
Customers are matched, not duplicated
Sesami looks the email up in your Shopify customers and attaches the booking to that person. If they are new, it creates them. With Sesami Customers you can hold that data in Sesami instead and make it the source of truth.
Orders are optional, per service
Whether a booking creates an order is a setting on each service. A free consultation can create nothing; a paid treatment can create an order to settle later.
Instant Booking exists because the checkout step is not always doing any work. When a booking is free, or paid on the day, everything between choosing a time and confirming it is friction you are paying for in lost bookings.
There is a commercial argument as well as a conversion one. Merchants use it to convert fast, then add the booking to the cart in store next to whatever else the customer is buying. The basket is bigger than the booking would have been on its own, and the revenue is still attributed to the booking that brought them in.

Can I still charge for an Instant Booking?
Yes. Instant Booking is built for free and post-paid bookings, and whether the booking creates an order is a setting on each service. Many merchants take the booking with no order at all, then ring it up in store alongside other products.
Does the customer need an account?
No. Sesami looks the email up in your Shopify customers and attaches the booking to that person if they already exist, or creates them if they do not. With Sesami Customers you can hold customer data in Sesami and make that the source of truth instead.
Can I use it for some services and not others?
Yes. It is a per-service setting, so a free consultation and a paid treatment can behave differently.
